Our experience enables us to offer effective, personalized, psychological care by a registered psychotherapist. Counselling adults, by providing both Jungian/depth psychology and skills-based approaches. Creative counselling approaches support individuals, youth, couples, and families throughout their lifespan.
Our focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, addressing goals and dreams, and developing a plan together. We can introduce different modalities including CBT, DBT; EFFT; stress reduction and mindfulness techniques; art therapy; dream work and Jungian approaches.
We promise to be there for you every step of your journey. Our goal is to help you grow from life's struggles, heal from pain, explore new possibilities; discover new paths and self-expressions or develop the skills necessary to move forward in your life.
My name is Colleen Kelly and I am a practicing psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience working in the field of mental health and relationships.
When I meet someone who is reaching out for support, you are my main concern. Everyone is different and has unique experiences, goals, and needs. Services provided at Creative Minds Counselling are tailored to you, your needs, and your goals. You are the center of our counselling plan.
My 30 years of training and experience include working with adults, youth, couples, and families. My approach is trauma-informed and I have training and certification in a variety of modalities including Attachment-based treatment; Adlerian approaches; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavioral Therapy; Family systems and Virginia Satir; Narrative Therapy; Trauma-informed CBT; suicide assessment and prevention. Depth psychology/Jungian approaches are a focus that is interesting to me. I am trained in art therapy and other expressive modalities using the arts and cultural expression. I can also provide brief and solution-focused therapies. My training and experience also include grief and loss counseling.
I have worked with diverse populations in Surrey and throughout the Lower Mainland. My approach is always culturally sensitive and I have several years of experience providing counseling and treatment to indigenous people (adults, youth, and children). I provide counseling to families and partners supporting a loved one with mental illness, brain injury, substance use, dementia, and other illnesses.
